Do you want to have an aquarium, but don’t want to be bothered by all the complicated set-up process and too much of maintenance? Do you want to enjoy the beauty of marine pets but you don’t have enough time to get all the needed systems and parts? If so, you will certainly be delighted with an all-in-one nano tank. While nano tank is much easier to be maintained, an all-in-one nano tank can save you a lot of time as you don’t have to search for additional lighting and filtration systems. Right now, there are two popular choices for an all-in-one nano tank product, Coralife Biocube and JBJ Nano Cube. Which one should you choose?

Coralife Biocube Vs JBJ Nano Cube

Coralife Biocube
The newly refined Coralife Biocube is available in two size choices: 14 gallons and 29 gallons. The 14 gallons is small enough to be managed easily, while the 29 gallons can be a viable choice for a more dedicated hobbyist. Coralife Biocube features four control buttons and separate power cords for the lights. The lights are placed at the hinge-top canopy, featuring 10,000K and Actinic Fluorescent lamps and three lunar blue LEDs for creating dramatical lighting effects. You can even still add more LEDs to enhance the shimmer. It has an upgraded cooling system that ensures it will not get overheated. It features an integrated wet/dry biological filtration with a quiet submersible pump with decent flow rate for improved water circulation and filter performance.

JBJ Nano Cube
JBJ Nano Cube is, more often than not, available at slightly lower prices than Coralife Biocube, and is available in three size options: 6 gallons, 12 gallons, and 24 gallons. It also has built-in illumination system with low energy consumption. The LEDs can immediately light up to full brightness without needing to warm up, which is handy and practical. The heat is configured to radiate heat upwards so that the heat will not be transferred to the water. The lighting system can change between three lighting schemes. JBJ Nano Cube also comes with built-in filtration system with three stages consisting of mechanical (sponge traps), chemical (activated carbons), and biological (ceramic rings) phases. JBJ Nano Cube features the Ocean Pulse Wavemaker that creates alternating wave cycle in an adjustable interval between 10 seconds to 6 minutes, useful for preventing detritus and waste accumulation as well as providing oxygen and creating an optimal environment for corals to grow.
